About ATMC

What is ATMC ?
The ATMC or Automotive Training Managers Council, is an organization founded in 1984 by original equipment and aftermarket automotive training professionals for the exchange of training ideas and strategies helpful to both technical and sales/marketing training professionals.

ATMC members are interested in improving the ROI, or "return on instruction" through networking and the exchanging of ideas for more effective training performance. In so doing, member companies are better able to train their customers to understand and utilize the latest products and techniques in the automotive trade.

ATMC also provides a service to the industry through research and publications related to training and human performance technology issues in the automotive arena. ATMC members also serve the industry by volunteering their time and energy as judges at the annual Ford/AAA Student Skills Competition in Washington D.C., and through other industry involvements.

Is ATMC membership for organizations or individuals?
ATMC membership is for both manufacturing and non-manufacturing organizations involved in the training of service technicians, trainers, countermen, sales/marketing personnel, and others. Non-automobile related training organizations representing small engine, non-road vehicle, power generation, marine etc. are also encouraged to join and participate. Training executives, trainers and others involved in training design, development and delivery are invited to participate at ATMC Conferences and events.

Are there different membership categories?
