    The Technical Training Manager is responsible for planning, developing and delivering technician training programs. Develop and analyze short and long term strategy to ensure training programs are up to date with tractor and trailer technology. Ensure Truck Service training facilitators remain up-to-date regarding training standards and industry technical advancements that affect our scope of business. Evaluate training methods to include on-the-job training, webinars, e-learning, and classroom methods/blended training approaches are maximizing training comprehension and retention.

      

    Job Duties:

     ·        Oversee Truck Service Technical Training Facilitators to ensure their presentation skills, knowledge and communication of subject matter is presented in a manner that maximizes trainees’ ability to comprehend and retain course materials 

    ·        Facilitate technician training classes. Engage technicians by encouraging participating and setting high expectations to perform well in the class 

    ·        Provide Q-Force Customer Service for our external and internal customers by ensuring that the Always and Nevers are practiced daily to support a customer service driven culture 

    ·        Establish and maintain truck service technical manuals, at site technical training materials and technician training requirements (paths) for each technician level 

    ·        Review training materials periodically and update as needed to ensure technician skills are up to date with truck/trailer technology 

    ·        Work closely with site management, directors and district managers to ensure classroom attendance by technicians is in alignment with the company’s technician training plan 

    ·        Support Truck Services turnover initiatives by soliciting curriculum evaluations from trainees 

    ·        Work closely with other departmental trainers to maintain consistency and share best practices 

    ·        Create annual training schedules and class agendas. Monitor enrollment of participants to ensure each location’s technician skill set is at the company targeted level 

    ·        Complete all administrative and other assigned tasks in a timely and professional manner 

    ·        Maintain a good rapport with Senior VP, Directors and Marketing Program Managers to ensure training material/curriculum is meeting the needs of the business 

    ·        Primary technical contact with Freightliner, TIA, TMC, Technical Publishers 

    ·        As required, develops articles for Road King Magazine 

    ·        Provides support to Fleet Maintenance Sales Team and key customers 

    ·        Develops ASE company training strategy to include training materials for certification tests. Primary liaison with ASE representatives 

     

    Job Requirements: 

     

    ·        3 years of technical training experience in OTR Trucks

    ·        ASE Certification a plus

    ·        Must have experience in creating  training materials

    ·        Able to facilitate training in a classroom environment

    ·        Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions 

    ·        Ability to perform project management and work with multiple departments to meet goals in a timely fashion

    ·        Computer literacy in basic applications (i.e. word processing, database, excel, power point, presentation software) is required
